The way to deal with this (as Phil mentioned) is to set up a WINS server on the LAN and configure the VPN server to assign the WINS server address to the VPN client. Tried to "push "dhcp-option" to push both DNS and DOMAIN options, push "route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0" - does not work. what could prevent clients from browsing Network Neighborhood? i think there is no sense to try Using WINS-server because there may be a wrong configuration. is it possible at all only by means of openvpn?
Jul 03, 2016 · The VPN server has a NAS on a LAN I want to have access to remotely. My router allows VPN pass through but it doesn't allow to be a vpn server. I could do dd-wrt but I can't afford to buy another router in case it bricks. So, I am connecting directly to the computer on the network. I am using built in VPN functionality with the windows OS.
