I need to dispose of an old router that still works. The new router was configured with the same network ID and passwords as the old router being disposed of. I suspect that the best first step is to do a factory reset of the old router. Can I power on the old router within range of the new router Open the Linksys App, and select Launch setup at the bottom. Linksys needs location data to function, and will ask permission. Select Allow. Carefully read the Terms and Conditions. When you are ready to continue and agree, select Agree. You'll be asked what kind of router you are setting up. Select Velop.
